It is titled Come Hup You Ugly Beast and further engraved with a presentation inscription dated 1891.
Made by Johnson, Sons and Edmunds (London 1889), it shares the same quality associated with pieces by this eminent firm and is in good condition.
At Mellors & Kirk (22% buyer’s premium) in Nottingham on March 10 it sold at £2500 (estimate £1000-1500).
