Made c.1680-85, before the advent of Tompion’s numbering system, it is one of only five Phase I clocks of this type known to exist.

This series of clocks have the bell set into a cut-out aperture in the backplate, necessary because at this time Tompion used a backplate that was larger than the frontplate.

It is estimated at £65,000-90,000.
