Fred Perry’s 1936 All England Club Wimbledon Tennis Championships Men’s Singles winner’s gold medal (pictured top) is expected to bring £14,000-18,000 at Graham Budd’s Sporting Memorabilia sale in London on June 7-9.
Perry defended his 1935 Wimbledon title against Gottfried von Cramm, winning comfortably 6-1, 6-1, 6-0. It would be the last Wimbledon Men’s Singles title won by a British player until Sir Andy Murray in 2013. The medal was last sold as part of The Fred Perry Collection at Christie’s in 1997.

The sale at Thomas R Callan in Ayr on June 11-12 includes some fine pieces of artist-decorated Royal Worcester porcelain. Several pieces are decorated by Charles Baldwyn, best known for his ornithological subjects and swans in particular.

This Gu shaped vase decorated in underglaze blue with a continuous frieze of a prunus tree, flowers and birds dates from the early Kangxi or Transitional period, c.1670.
The 17in (43cm) high vase, with a rim chip, has been in the vendor’s family for at least 100 years.

Collection of items of Crimean War interest related to The King’s Royal Irish Hussars – estimate £500-700 at Plymouth Auction Rooms on June 9.
All framed within a 2ft 8in x 2ft (87 x 62cm) glazed frame, this collection of items of Crimean War interest relates to The King’s Royal Irish Hussars.
It includes Victorian officer’s dress items such as a sabretache, two flap pouches, each with red cloth having embroidered Victorian crowned VR cipher with lion above and winged harp to the centre, shamrock wreath and battle honours, along with two cross belts, buckles and other items.
It was discovered in an attic room of a small Plymouth property. The family was connected to a Colonel Moul of the British Army, around 1880-1900.
On June 9 at Plymouth Auction Rooms, the collection is estimated at £500-700.

Vase exhibited at the 1908 Franco British Exhibition, one of only two examples known to have been produced by decorator Gordon Forsyth – estimate £20,000-30,000 at Kinghams on June 11-12.
Moreton in Marsh firm Kinghams is selling the Anthony J Cross collection of art pottery on June 11-12. The 468-lot collection, assembled over half century, includes some exceptional lustre wares, particularly those by the Pilkington factory.
The most important piece in the auction is a 21in (53cm) high vase dating from 1908. Moulded in relief with St George on horseback lancing a dragon with a maiden to the side, the vase incorporates an exuberant bronze and red iridescent glaze and is inscribed St George for England.
With pedigree provenance, it was exhibited at the 1908 Franco British Exhibition to much admiration and only two examples are known to have been produced by decorator Gordon Forsyth.

This Victorian butcher’s shop model made c.1880 for Fernley Family Butchers in Limehouse will be offered by Catherine Southon in an online auction in Surrey on June 9 where it is estimated to fetch £12,000-18,000.
The polychrome decorated wood and plaster diorama, which measures 3ft 2in (94cm) wide, shows the shop front on one side decked with meat cuts and carcasses while to the other side is an abattoir and figures engaged in butchery.
It is being offered on behalf of the Worshipful Company of Butchers, who bought it in 2012. Prior to that, it was on loan to the Museum of Childhood, Bethnal Green, for over 30 years.
Andrew Parker, master of the Worshipful Company of Butchers, explains: “Over the last five years we have rebuilt and refurbished the historic Butchers’ Hall in Bartholomew Close and sadly there is no longer anywhere to display this stunning model.
"Covid has hit us hard and we have been unable to fundraise as much as normal to support our objectives of charity, education and fellowship – so the money raised from this sale will help strengthen the livery company in its time of need.”

Super turbo Ecomobile designed by Arnold Wagner and produced by the Swiss company Peraves – estimate £3000-5000 at Rowley’s on June 5.
The sale at Rowley’s of Ely on June 5 includes this super turbo Ecomobile designed by Arnold Wagner and produced by the Swiss company Peraves. Powered by a BMW K100 engine, it operated much like a motorcycle with stabilisers that are lowered and raised at the driver’s instigation. It cruises at somewhere between 100-120mph.
A total of 89 Ecomobiles were made between 1985-2005 with perhaps only five now in the UK. A number of the early models made an appearance on the BBC’s Top Gear in April 1988 and on Jeremy Clarkson’s Motorworld in January 1996 (a clip of a youthful Jezza being driven in a blue one by Wagner’s wife can be found on YouTube). The red vehicle on offer here was made in 1995 and was purchased, secondhand, by the current owner directly from Wagner in Winterthur in 2005.

The private collection of Sue Pearson, dealer in antique and vintage teddy bears and soft toys, is going under the hammer at Special Auction Services in Newbury on June 8.
She is parting with her collection which comprises 34 lots of teddy bears and soft toys because she is downsizing.
Shown here is Pricey, a large Farnell teddy bear (c.1920) which was one of her earliest purchases and is estimated at £1500-2000. His name comes from a visit to an antiques shop where she discovered him with no price tag and when asking the price, the dealer sucked his teeth and said “He’s pricey madam”, and the name stuck.
Pearson started out with a stall in Brighton Market and she opened Sue Pearson Antique and Collectors Bears in The Lanes in 1982.

Items given to a south Lakes family by Alfred and Betty Wainwright are up for sale at Cumbrian firm 1818 Auctioneers.
They have been entered into the picture timed online sale ending on June 6 by the Duff family. Percy Duff was a good friend and colleague of Alfred, taking over from him as borough treasurer of Kendal in 1967. Percy also took over the role of treasurer of the Lakes and Lune Water Board from Wainwright in that year.
The lots include a thank-you card, a set of Lakes and Lune Water Board illustrated accounts for 1973, a pension form, a signed Wainwright map which Alfred gave to Percy and a signed copy of his Coast to Coast book.
Shown here is a Wainwright pen and ink sketch of Bowness Bay – signed almost 40 years later by Wainwright and given by him to Mike Duff – estimated at £1500-2000.
