The Kent auction house sold an early English 18th century mirror, the wooden framed oblong mirror with metal hook, 2¾in tall x 2in wide (7 x 5cm) wide, offered together with a 19th century mirror and another, for £520 (estimate £80-120).

A group of German, miniature wooden furniture with carved decoration, c.1890, took £540 against a guide of £300-500, while a miniature painted metal pram and doll, German, c.1890, 4in (10cm) long, made £340 (estimate £140-180).

A draper’s shop room set, German, late 19th century – £780 at C&T.

Taking a higher price than many of the dolls’ houses on offer at C&T on November 4 was a German draper’s shop room set from the late 19th century, with furnishings including three Paul Leonhardt cream and gold painted chairs.

The 14in tall x 2ft 9in wide (35 x 84cm) set sold for £780 (estimate £400-600).
