It will move into the new venue at Cordwallis Park in Maidenhead, Berkshire, close to its current saleroom, in mid-January.

The new address provides extensive storage, bespoke viewing rooms, an improved front of house and a dedicated live streaming room as well
as free parking on site.

Aubrey Dawson, the firm’s chief executive, co-founded the auction house in December 2016.

He said: “The dedicated live streaming room for online auctions has great acoustics, the right lighting, a very good camera and high-speed internet and everything is geared up for online-only.

“We have made an investment in all the best technology to make this work extremely well.”

Dawsons, which also has a valuation office in Hampstead, London, has 20 staff and intends to hold more frequent auctions in the new location.

Dawson added: “We went online at the start of the pandemic in March 2020 and have had no room bidding since then. It makes sense.

“We still have viewing in person which needs to be booked in advance on our website. In the last 12 months we have held 31 auctions, compared with 14 a year previously.”

He said the new facility has been specifically commissioned to provide the ability to achieve sales of £2m hammer a month across multiple sales.
