Despite the ongoing restrictions that have put a stop to champagne openings, the festival continues much as in previous years with a back-to-back roster of dealer exhibitions and auctions.
Late-night viewings will be held on October 31 for dealers in Kensington Church Street and on November 1 for St James’s dealers, while awards for outstanding works of arts offered by dealers and by auction houses will also be announced on Thursday, October 29.
For the first time this year AAL has split the long-running event between Indian and Islamic art (covered in ATG No 2463) and East Asian art.
The preceding Indian and Islamic art section continues until October 31, allowing for the possibility of attending both events.
AAL director Jacqueline Simcox said: “There will be a three-day overlap with the East Asian art section which will please visitors who would like to be able to view all aspects of Asian Art in London.”
