The panel, which measures 20 x 13¾in (50 x 35cm) and is painted with a vase of flowers and a serpent, once belonged to Metford Warner who owned the wallpaper manufacturing company Jeffrey & Co which employed designers such as Walter Crane, Owen Jones and William Burges.

The panel was part of the collection of Roger Warner (sold at Christie’s in 2009) and then a London private collection.

The estimate is £4000-6000.
