However, she has recently been receiving more recognition – including a double high-estimate £16,250 result for one of her portraits at Christie’s in September – and is one of the featured artists in Henry Saywell Fine Art’s ongoing exhibition.
The show, which includes a wide range of art and antiques spanning the 16th-21st centuries, was originally planned for the dealership’s appearance at the San Francisco Fall Show last month. When that moved online, though he still ‘stood’ at the fair, Saywell decided to stage a physical show of the offerings at his London showroom.
Among the highlights are nearly 40 watercolours by Lawrence as well as works by Modern British artists such as Kate Whiteford and Denis Mitchell, Contemporary works by artists such as Poppy Ellis and Tom Leaper, and a selection of Mid-century furniture from Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanerette.
The exhibition runs at Saywell’s shop on Lillie Road, Fulham, until November 30.
