This blue and white enamelled musical box is be offered in a sale on June 27 at Oakridge Auction Gallery in Ashburn, Virginia.
It measures approximately 4in (10cm) wide and is decorated with a landscape to the glass cover which opens to reveal a feathered bird.
The box, which no longer plays music, is attributed to the 19th century French specialist music box maker Blaise Bontems and is estimated at $2000-3000.
