The gros and petit point needlework, which is not original to the chair, depicts the biblical scene of Susanna and the Elders within a landscape with a fountain. It has provenance to a private French collection and is available for $24,000.
Running until July 8, the online fair features more than 300 works from member dealers, who include A La Vieille Russie, SJ Shrubsole and Joan B Mirviss. It is run in partnership with online marketplace InCollect.
Meanwhile in the UK, Connect Art Fair has launched a portal featuring its exhibitors’ online summer exhibitions. The fair would have had its first summer edition last week but was postponed due to lockdown restrictions.
