The dummy will feature in Milestone’s auction of militaria, weapons and firearms on January 24-25 in Willoughby, Ohio, with an estimate of $6000-9000.

Another D-Day survival is one of the sale’s potential highlights: a 48-star American flag that was flown on a landing craft delivering the 115th Infantry Regiment to the shores of Omaha beach.

This flag, which flew on an LCI (landing craft infantry) piloted by the vendor’s father, US Navy Quartermaster Carroll Key Wood, has an estimate of $50,000-60,000.
