1. Titled Up to Mischief, this signed Robert Gemmell Hutchison (1860-1936) painting is typical of the depictions of children that established the Scottish artist. The 2ft x 17in (60 x 43cm) oil on canvas had a guide of £500-700 at Lacy Scott & Knight.

3. In the early 1970s, Henry Moore (1898-1986) produced a series of 12 ‘life cycle’ etchings after observing them at Perry Green in Hertfordshire. Ready for Shearing, a signed and numbered 54/80, sold with its original purchase receipt on December 11 at Alresford saleroom Andrew Smith & Son.
