2. Chiming with the current appetite for naïve and decorative pictures, this painting sold for more than six times pre-sale hopes at Hansons in Staffordshire. The 7 x 10in (17 x 24cm) oil on canvas was catalogued as 19th century British School.
3. In the early 1970s, Henry Moore (1898-1986) produced a series of 12 ‘life cycle’ etchings after observing them at Perry Green in Hertfordshire. Ready for Shearing, a signed and numbered 54/80, sold with its original purchase receipt on December 11 at Alresford saleroom Andrew Smith & Son.
