Annie seldom appeared at LAPADA fairs, except for opening days when members would remark with delight on how happy they were to meet ‘the voice’ at last. From membership information to certifications to specialist dealers, Annie knew almost every detail of the association’s activities.

She was a significant cog in the wheel of an extremely busy and ever active spectrum of membership services.

No request was too much trouble for Annie, though for devilment and teasing she would enjoy a feigned outrage for anyone who disturbed her at work, giving a huff and a puff and a dismissive sigh… or a “what now?”

She was terrifically good company and good fun and enjoyed the quirks of the various charismatic personalities within our business. She was clever, witty, observant and perceptive, totally loved and trusted by her colleagues for her own quirkiness itself.

With her sharp efficiency and enjoyment of people, her work as financial controller at LAPADA provided her with much professional and personal satisfaction. She was a Chelsea girl who lived only minutes away from the office, a local who knew the area well, especially the restaurants at which she was greeted warmly.

Annie is survived by husband Peter, sons Adam and Jason and daughter Fiona. She will be missed by all who knew her.
