The painting goes under the hammer as part of the December 30 sale of paintings, sculpture, ceramics, tapestries and arts of ancient China. Measuring 15 x 17¼in (39 x 44cm), it is signed lower right.
It has a provenance to Ambroise Vollard, was last under the hammer in 1971 at Christie’s in London and is included in the Bonnard’s catalogue raisonné.
Estimate €140,000-160,000.
