The colour lithographs depict kangaroos and other native flora and fauna.

Two were printed by John Sands and the rest probably by Gibbs, Shallard and Co. The cards include text verso with the names of plants depicted.

The group is offered with a copy of a 19th century wood engraving advertisement offering A selection from Gibbs, Shallard & Cos Christmas and New Year Cards 1883-4, which includes an image one of the cards on offer. The collection is offered for Aus$16,500.

This year’s AAADA Christmas Catalogue features items from around 30 dealers and describes itself as “an antique shop with gifts for those who have everything”.
