Lockdown has cut a swathe through these regular events held in Manchester and Leeds plus her annual Festival of Vintage in York.
To support owners of the small vintage businesses including those who stand at her fairs, Rosendale launched the one-stop Discover Vintage Marketplace in August to provide an online selling platform for fashion, homewares, furniture and textiles.
“I now have 65 dealers and the most popular items seem to be Midcentury furniture, ceramics and jewellery, particularly the unique pieces by specific designers, as people are searching Google and finding us,” she says.
Husband and wife team Marie and Robert Coomber (pictured above) of Black Sheep Antiques sell vintage fashion from the 1900s-50s. They stand at Discover Vintage fairs and now feature on the organiser’s online marketplace.
“During these difficult times we have missed the sense of community at the fairs and the marketplace is a great way to keep this alive,” they said.
