Issued by Ackermann in 1837, the year that the station opened, this was the first and only published part of what was originally planned as a larger work and is now the scarcest of all of Bury’s railway books.

In a Bumpus binding of half morocco gilt, a copy offered in a Bonhams (27.5/25/20/13.9% buyer’s premium) sale of June 26 in London sold at a record £4200.
