This 7½in (19cm) wide creamware teapot, apparently unmarked, decorated with a transfer printed scene by Sadler and Green after François Boucher of The Billet Doux, was formerly in the E Norman Stretton collection (sold by Phillips in London before it entered the Starr collection).

It sold at Stair for $400 (£315).
