The 12th impression of the 1998 first edition of JK Rowling’s 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets', which the author said she found difficult to finish, is the second novel in the astoundingly successful Harry Potter series and is for sale at £120 with Peter Foster Books at the 'London Christmas Book Fair' on December 7.

Harry Potter is just one of the delights on offer at PBFA’s annual London Christmas Book Fair at the Holiday Inn in Bloomsbury on Saturday, December 7.

Andrew Saidi, one of the three organisers, said: “This is our third Christmas book fair at this venue and the last couple of years have been very successful with many exhibitors giving positive feedback.

“We will have 60 exhibitors selling antiquarian books and second-hand titles including colourful and nostalgic childrens’ books, rare travel titles, natural history and cookery.”

Three Biba catalogues are also on offer. They date from the late Sixties, the heyday of this famous fashion name. These are not your typical catalogues – more like a series of Vogue-style fashion shoots by some of the most renowned photographers in the business including Helmut Newton. The three are priced at £850 with bookseller Michael Kemp.

Maybe I shouldn’t have given five of mine to my granddaughter…
