An unused lithographic Christmas card printed for Ardizzone and his wife Catherine is priced at £150.
The fair is held at the Holiday Inn in Bloomsbury, London. The summer and winter ephemera fairs do very well, said the society’s chair Val Jackson-Harris, the events organiser, who added that the December event will feature 73 tables packed with ephemera.
Other dealers standing include Chris Meers with Suffragette material, Richard Gold bringing Judaica and Sara Wyatt, who specialises in the performing arts.
On Tuesday, December 3, at the Mount Vernon Hospital at Northwood in Middlesex an auction run by Charles Hanson of Hansons auction house will be held in conjunction with the Ephemera Society in aid of the Michael Sobell Hospice, a charity based at the hospital.
The sale will run from 1-3pm with viewing from 9.30am-12.30pm.
