Printemps Asiatique Paris will be staged in the French capital for a 10-day run from June 6-17, a period when Paris traditionally holds many of its dedicated Asian art auctions.
It follows the same formula pioneered 22 years ago by Asian Art in London and followed up later by Asia Week New York.
The French initiative was launched last year and for its second staging has increased from 38 participants to 47.
As in London and New York, galleries (mostly sited on the left bank), auction houses and museums that specialise in Asian material all take part.

Aguttes
The Imperial semi formal Chinese dress or Jifu, pictured above, is embroidered in coloured silk and gold thread with nine, five-clawed dragons around the sacred pearl and a host of other auspicious symbols including lingzhi fungus, bats, peaches and eight buddhist emblems.
It dates from the Jiaqing/Daoguang period (the late 18th-19th century) and has an estimate of €10,000-15,000 in the sale to be held by Aguttes at Drouot on June 12.
Gauchet

Gauchet Art Asiatique from Nice will be participating in Paris’ Printemps Asiatique showing at the Rue Jacques Callot.
The dealer will bring this 4¼in (11cm) wide jade carving of a phoenix, in white and russet jade, dated to the Qianlong period. It has a provenance to a private collection in the South of France and an asking price of around €60,000.
Tiago

This 17th century Japanese Namban chest is one of the pieces that the Galerie Tiago based on the Rue de l’Université will be showing for the Printemps Asiatique.
It is a typical example made from cypress wood inlaid with mother of pearl with engraved copper mounts, measures 10in (25cm) in width and has a price in the region of €30,000-40,000.
Remy Le Fur

Among the 16 auction houses taking part in the Printemps Asiatique is Auction Art Remy le Fur whose sale at Drouot on June 12 sale will include this 17th century Chinese, Dehua model of Guanyin seated in a pose of royal relaxation.
The 9in (23cm) high figure, with a He Chaozong mark on the back, has a provenance to a Dutch collection and an estimate of €15,000-20,000.
