Pictured above is a rare 7¾in (19.5cm) anthropomorphic mask, with restorations, in green/grey serpentine from the Mezcala culture of the Guerrero region of Mexico, 500-100 BC.

It has a former provenance to two American collections: those of Jules Berman of Los Angeles and Theodore Nye of Washington. The estimate is €12,000-15,000.
