An ornate Brussels lace fan, worked with a coat of arms, is a leading lot in a sale dedicated to antique fans at Tennants of Leyburn in North Yorkshire on March 9.

A handwritten note with the lot suggests the arms are those of Princess Annie de Lusignan.

The lace leaf is mounted on pierced and gilded mother-of-pearl sticks, the ribs with gauze painted violets and forget-me-nots. The monture dates to c.1900 while the lace is c.1880s.

Estimate £1200-2000.

Anenamel sign for Trowbridge Station in Wiltshire was found during a household clearance of a cottage in Dorset.

The 3ft (91.5cm) wide sign would have been fixed to the station wall or board by two flanges drilled with holes.

It will go under the hammer at Charterhouse on March 14-15, estimated at £500-1000.

A two-day Collectors Auction at Milnthorpe firm 1818 Auctioneers on March 4-5 will contain a selection of football programmes such as this one for the 1968 European Cup final between Manchester United and Benfica.

It is signed by George Best, Dennis Law, Bobby Charlton, Matt Busby, Brian Kidd, Nobby Stiles, David Sadler and Alex Stepney.

Carrying an estimate of £1000-2000, this mint condition Royal Doulton figure of The Jester (HN45), in a black and white chequered tunic, will be offered for sale at Potteries Auctions in Staffordshire on March 9.

It is signed to the base with the name of pottery designer CJ Noke and is impressed with a 1930 date mark.
