Removed from the Belgrave Square, London, home of interior designer Katharine Pooley, the sale comprised a mix of late 20th-21st century designer classics.
These included a set of four chrome and glass circular side tables at a 10-times estimate £1250 and a 11½in (29cm) tall Lalique globular Vibrations vase at £1150.
“Luxury chic at affordable prices” is how auctioneer Philip Belcher summed it up after everything sold largely to new private buyers in the packed room.
Topping the £230,000 sale was a 16ft (4.86m) long oak and ebonised chequer-inlaid dining table which was estimated at £500-800 and sold at £3200.
