The show, Silence and Twilight, features paintings ranging in price from £4000-22,000, and is part of the wide supply of Contemporary art on offer in the area and showcased during this event.
Running during the Friday to Sunday of London Art Week (June 28-30), though the two are not to be confused, MAW features 30 galleries, such as Victoria Miro, Hauser & Wirth and Brun Fine Art, many of which stage shows or host events for the occasion. Tours of the galleries, artist talks and film screenings are all on the agenda.
There are some more traditional works available from various galleries.
Among the ‘modern masters’ are Georges Braque (Abstract or Not – Olivier Malingue, also part of LAW - see story left), Jean Dubuffet (Writings on the Wall – Waddington Custot) and Andy Warhol (Thaddaeus Ropac) are among those presented.
