Since his 2010 launch in Paris, Graf has focused on the British Arts & Crafts movement as well as offering works from the US and France. He views the new space on the first floor of 23 Mount Street as a chance to capitalise on relationships with his client base.

“Recently we’ve worked with one different American museum every month,” he says. “Most curators travel out here rather than Paris. During the past five or so years, there has just not been as much happening in Paris in terms of the market as there has been in London.”

He added that the Mayfair street is the “right place” to set up, placing him close to many of his private UK clients as well as PAD London where he exhibits.

The first show at the gallery focuses on the ‘Gilded Age’, coinciding with the Graf’s stand at Masterpiece (June 27-July 3).
