Lack of space was the reason given for the absence of the marquee after 36 years at the show and local residents took to social media to voice their disappointment.
Show director Denis Dooley said: “Having listened to feedback from our visitors, the decision was made for the antiques tent to come back this year.
“The marquee will welcome the return of many regular exhibitors as well as some brand-new ones.”
The New Forest Show runs from Tuesday to Thursday, July 30-August 1, at the New Forest National Park Showground in Brockenhurst.
