The premises had at the time been standing empty for four years.
Those plans are now a reality and the Magistrates Market was set to open on January 2. The site was purchased in 2016 by businessman Philip Weatherell’s investment company in Harrogate.
Weatherell, whose mother Kay owns the Montpellier Mews Antiques Centre in Harrogate, said that he hoped there would be strong links between that centre and the antiques market.
