Morris & Co produced a number of Arts & Crafts tables in this style for high-profile commissions, including a similar design for the Pre-Raphaelite painter Edward Burne-Jones in the 1850s.

This later 1880 oak centre table, which stands on six ring-turned legs and central turned column, was designed for the firm by Philip Speakman Webb (1831-1915).

The 4ft x 2ft 4in (1.22m x 72cm) piece forms part of Paul Reeves: An Eye for Design, a collaborative sale between dealer Paul Reeves and Lyon & Turnbull, which will be held on February 14 in Edinburgh. Estimate £7000-9000.

This 1954 FA Cup winner’s medal was presented to Norman Heath, a West Bromwich Albion player who sustained a career-ending injury during the tournament.

Heath suffered severe neck injuries in the semi-final match against Sunderland and had to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life. WBA went on to secure the cup with a 3-2 win against Preston North End in the final.

Heath was awarded a winner’s medal and his teammates took the trophy to his bedside in hospital. The gold medal is estimated at £4000-6000 and will be sold by Derbyshire saleroom Hansons on February 21.
