It took place in early October this year, coinciding with Frieze Week, but the new spot in the calendar offered no clear advantage.

“I loved being at Frieze Week and we did a cross-promotion with it for our visitors to go to both fairs,” said director Robert Sandelson.

“But BAF did as well as it always has – there was no advantage to the later date.”

It runs from September 24-27, 2020, at the Saatchi Gallery.

Drawing interest

The fair focuses on Modern and Contemporary drawings.

It also takes place at the Chelsea institution and runs from May 14-17, 2020.
