What makes it really desirable, however, is the fact that WWWVY, together with Winnie-the-Pooh of 1926, Now We Are Six of 1927 and The House at Pooh Corner of the following year, are all first-state copies (in first-state jackets) and all signed by both AA Milne and Ernest Shepard.
The set sold for £24,000 in an online sale that ran at Sotheby’s (25/20/13.9% buyer’s premium) from July 1-9.
