Last year footfall to the show increased by more than 50% – something Collingridge attributes to a changing audience for vintage and contemporary fountain pens.
“While the interest from traditional collectors remains, it is the number of young people visiting that accounted for the rise. The younger generation is increasingly interested in the pleasures of writing – possibly as a reaction to their digital lives.”
