Rodney Weeks of Gemsco Promotions is launching the first Three Counties Antiques and Fine Art Fair at the Rufus Centre in Flitwick, Bedfordshire, on Saturday and Sunday, September 8-9 with up to 45 dealers.
For the past 20 years Rodney and his wife Sandra ran fairs across five counties in the UK, including in Bedfordshire the biannual Luton Fine Art and Antiques Fair at Putteridge Bury House.
Weeks said: “For all those of us involved in the antiques world, it gets in your blood. Having not run a fair for almost three years there was a real desire to put on another event plus being spurred on by encouragement from the dealers with whom I had been involved for many years.”
The Weekses hope that the Three Counties Antiques & Fine Art Fair will become a biannual event, with the first provisional date for 2019 booked as March 9-10. n
