Though today many of her designs are owned by major public collections, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum and The Royal Opera House, an exhibition at Abbott and Holder in London is a chance for buyers to snap up prime examples of her work.
The show, running from November 24-December 22, features pieces from the 1960s-90s, including those from her collaborations with Royal Ballet choreographer Kenneth MacMillan.
Among the designs is a series of creations, some in mixed media, for a 1961 performance of the Greek tragedy The Oresteia at the Oxford Playhouse and Old Vic Theatre. An ink and gouache of a geometric headdress with an apparent tribal influence, to be worn by the Furies, measuring 15 x 10 ½ in (38 x 26.5cm), is offered for £1250.
All works have been sourced from the artist’s estate, represented by her brother.
