Marcus Budgen, the new head of Spink medals department.
As reported, Erskine-Hill, who joined in 2016 from fellow London saleroom Dix Noonan Webb, is leaving Spink to take over as Lord Ashcroft’s medals curator on the retirement of Michael Naxton.
Budgen says he will still be working with Erskine-Hill on the summer and winter auctions and the hand-over time takes place “towards the end of the year”.
He added: “The Spink medals department has flourished over the last 18 months and I am confident we can maintain the upward trend.”
