It was made as a celebration of the best of English craftsmanship in the coronation year.
Weighing in at 1485gms, the strawberry set is estimated at £30,000-40,000 in Reeman Dansie’s sale on April 10-11.
It comes from a local deceased estate, consigned alongside Fabergé boxes and oils by Petrus van Schendel (1806-70).
