On April 7, Devizes saleroom Henry Aldridge & Son will sell 36 pieces from the collection of Rowland Pollitt, a collector for over 30 years.

Among the highlights are a Forest Glen pattern charger (estimate £1400-1600), a Gibraltar landscape pattern Stamford tea set (estimate £1700-2000) and a 9½in (24cm) high Avignon lotus jug from the short-lived Applique range, estimated at £1600-1800. The jug was formerly in the collection Louis Meisel, a New York art dealer who has written extensively on Clarice Cliff.

More rarities are due to go under the hammer in a 60-lot section dedicated to Clarice Cliff at Woolley & Wallis of Salisbury on March 21.

Two Age of Jazz flat-back table centrepiece figurines of dancing couples and musicians are estimated to sell for four-figure sums – so too a geometric face mask designed by Ron Birks.

Finally, there is more Clarice at Bonhams Knightsbridge on April 12, where a c.1940 coffee set in the famous Crocus pattern is estimated at £800-1000.
