A pair of monumental bronze lions after Edwin Landseer’s (1802-73) famous Trafalgar Square beasts will lead Summers Place Auctions’ second Conversation Pieces sale in Billingshurst, Sussex on March 20-21.

The 12ft 7in (3.84m) long sculptures are identical in size to Landseer’s lions and were made in the early 1990s as part of the redevelopment of Camden Lock Market by architect John Dickinson.

The lions have recently been removed as the market undergoes another redevelopment and are estimated at £60,000-100,000.
