Burdon was vice president under Pontes for the past two years and a member of the ILAB committee since 2014.

She was involved in the organisation of World Book & Copyright Day in 2015-16 and is the co-convener of the ILAB International Mentoring Programme which was launched in December 2016.

She began bookselling in her family’s business now known as Asia Bookroom in Canberra, where she has worked full time since 1982. She has previously been president of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers and served on the faculty of the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar for three years.

Fabrizio Govi is the new ILAB vice president. Stuart Bennett was elected general secretary and Anne Lamort and Pavel Chepyzhov were elected to the committee. Norbert Donhofer was elected president of honour.
