This stoneware cycladic vase by Hans Coper is estimated at £4000-6000 in the first Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood sale of 20th century and contemporary art and design.
The sale, on February 27, will include pictures, studio pottery, glass and design.
Rachel Littlewood, director, said: “We realised there is demand for this type of sale and we have already planned the next for December.”
The auction house will continue its calendar of fortnightly art and antiques sales alongside its specialist auctions such as maritime and antiquarian books.
The new sale will include a number of works by artist Sir Terry Frost, as well as studio pottery from Dame Lucie Rie and a stoneware cycladic vase by Hans Coper (pictured above) which is estimated at £4000-6000.
