The directory is now up and running, while the quarterly 40-page A5 colour guide is due in early March.
Blagrove says: “Nowadays more people are searching online for fairs than ever before. While there are some excellent publications with events listings, many do not have an online presence.
“This combines both. UK Fairs.com is a fairs directory where organisers can list their events free of charge or have a featured listing.”
UK Fairs.com will publish two regular features including one on the architectural salvage market. Blagrove said auction houses and some antiques centres will be included and a valuation service offered. A section will be written in French as some of the guides will be distributed in France and Belgium. The brochure will also be downloadable online.
As well as the guide being distributed at fairs, markets, antiques centres and auction houses, “this is the first trade guide to get out to the general public in major outlets such as Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Asda, Morrisons and Tesco”, says Blagrove. “This must have a positive impact on the visitor numbers we all need.”
