The group holds its first fair on Saturday, January 13, at the Barnham Broom Hotel, near Norwich.

The Crosthwaites, who have doubled exhibitor numbers and tripled footfall at their monthly Hingham fairs, believe that there is a place for a high-end fair in their area.

Philip said: “We know that there is a wealth of very good dealers in the neighbouring counties of Norfolk and Suffolk and this is a chance for them to meet new clients face to face.”

The trade association is free to join and “not just to dealers in Norfolk or Suffolk” he added.

“There is no dateline but dealers will be vetted on the quality of their stock by pointing us in the direction of their website or a website that they sell through or sending photographs of their stock pictured at a fair. Artists are asked to forward images of their work.’’

Thirty-six dealers have already signed up to the association, including Andrew Singleton of Suffolk House Antiques (BADA), Robin Dunkley of Holt Antique Furniture (LAPADA, CINOA) and Paul Nunn Old Time Clocks (BADA, LAPADA), and Crosthwaite welcomes more high-end dealers in all the genres.
