It bore London hallmarks for 1905, the middle of the 1902-07 period, when the guild operated from Chipping Camden, and founder Charles Ashbee and his foreman George Hart were producing some of their finest material.

The 4.5oz bowl with stylised decoration was pitched at £100-150 at the Rayleigh rooms on October 15 but sold at £1300.
