This early combination of a war hammer and pistol sold for £24,000 at Bonhams.
Dating from the late 16th century and probably made in Augsburg, it is constructed entirely from steel with a flat hammer and spike at the end of the flower-decorated barrel and a wheel-lock firing mechanism.
