A dynamic vintage advertising poster for the Dutch airline KLM is estimated at £1500-3000 in Antikbar’s vintage poster auction on April 14 in south-west London.
The 3ft 3in x 2ft 1in (99 x 65cm) design shows a KLM propeller plane together with the legendary ghost ship, the Flying Dutchman. It was designed in the 1930s by Arjen Galema (1886-1974).

A c.1990 circular Architettura table designed by Piero Fornasetti (1913-88) for Atelier Fornasetti in 1955 will go under the hammer at Dreweatts’ Newbury saleroom, Donnington Priory, on April 17.
The 2ft 7in x 3ft 3in (79cm x 1m) piece depicting San Marco Square, Venice, is typical of the graphic trompe l’oeil architectural designs Fornasetti created in the 1950s with the Italian designer Gio Ponti (1891-1979).
Estimate £3500-5000.

Penzance auction house WH Lane & Son will offer a watercolour by local artist Walter Langley (1852-1922) on April 12.
The signed 6¾ x 4¾in (17 x 12cm) work is titled Towards the Sea and depicts a girl standing on a grassy promontory.
