Made of Lambeth saltglaze brown stoneware, the 5in (12.5cm) high figure is estimated at £200-300 in Clevedon Salerooms’ auction in Bristol on November 16.

Antikbar’s last poster auction of the year on November 18 in London will be led by a large collection of art exhibition posters.

The group, which has been split across 100 lots, incorporates this 2ft x 16in (60 x 40cm) poster designed by Edvard Munch (1863-1944) for the European Expressionism exhibition held in the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris in 1970.

Estimated at £60-120, it will be offered alongside four other art exhibition posters designed by the German Expressionist Max Beckmann (1884-1950), Gustave De Smet (1877-1943), Hans Hartung (1904-89) and the Portuguese-French abstractionist painter Maria Helena Vieira da Silva (1908-92).

In this anniversary year of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, vintage fashion specialist Kerry Taylor Auctions will feature a section of memorabilia dedicated to her on November 20 in Bermondsey, London.

Included is a clutch of fashion sketches made by Victor Edelstein (b.1946), one of Diana’s favourite designers.

These signed 13 x 19in (33 x 23cm) pencil sketches, estimated at £300-500, feature a pink organza ball gown, dated spring 1982, and a black silk faille and velvet cocktail ensemble, dated autumn 1987.

This Victorian novelty silver vesta case or cigarette box is estimated at £300-500 in Paul Beighton’s auction in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, on November 25.

Modelled as an upright piano, the 3in (7cm) high piece was made by silversmith George Heath, London, 1886, and retailed by Asprey & Sons.
