It was built by an enthusiast over several decades and features most of the famous characters from the early days of comic strips, cartoons and radio shows in the form of toys, ceramic figures and novelty wristwatches.

Bidders will find plenty of examples of the best-known names such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Betty Boop, Bonzo or Felix the Cat as well as some other less familiar characters

The items on offer also encompass a roll-call of US, European and Japanese toy makers from Marx, Idela and Knickerbocker to Steiff, Lenci and Chad Valley.
