The classical soprano, who hit the number one spot in the Official UK Classical Albums Chart with her debut album Dare to Dream in 2014, is singing at intervals throughout the day at the event on Sunday, November 26.

The fair will be held in the fine setting of the listed Lilleshall Hall, near Telford in Shropshire, built for the first Duke of Sutherland in 1829 and now the Lilleshall National Sports and Conferencing Centre.

The hall has had a somewhat chequered existence, including ownership by one Herbert Ford. He bought the estate in 1927 and increased attendance by the paying public to the amusement park, children’s playground and tea dances held at the hall.

This included advertising that the German airship Hindenburg would fly over the estate even when its route was nowhere nearby – in a self-sent telegram, Ford explained that the lack of an airship was due to bad weather.
