In Day’s centenary year, this is a call-out for past winners of that award, some of whom cannot be traced. The society would like you to get in touch regarding taking part in a special event at the society’s annual textile fair in Manchester on April 30 which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary.

To mark the centenary, Days’ daughter Paula Day, who set up the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation, a design education charity in 2012, is organising Lucienne Day 100. This is a celebration for the industry and others to mark their links with the renowned designer.
Events include Lucienne Day: A Sense of Growth at the Whitworth Art Gallery – which holds many of her designs – from April 14 to June 11, while the Antique Collectors Club is bringing out Andrew Casey’s Textile Design: Lucienne Day.
The Manchester Antique Textile Fair takes place at the Armitage Centre in Fallowfield, Manchester, on Sunday, April 30.
