Here Sara Hughes, who owns Phoenix Antiques in the busier village of Petworth in west Sussex 20 miles away, is launching a vintage fair on Sunday, July 9.

Hughes says: “I have held vanity fairs there before which were very successful, with sellers and buyers asking me to run another. As vintage items are in vogue, which sits well with the stock in my shop, I decided to relaunch and revamp the fair which I am hoping to run bi-monthly. There will be approximately 20 stallholders in the village hall selling fashion and accessories, shabby chic and gardenalia.”

Stands are £20 and must be booked in advance.
